Its My Best Friend's Birthday

Its the 4th of October. The day my best friend came into the world. Little did she know that 17 years down the road, she would bump into someone whose name rhyme with 'marvin' and they would eventually become best friends ;-) Thats a private joke between us actually.

Hey sofia! I do not know when you will read this blog but this entry is dedicated to you :-) HAPPY 22nd Birthday my dear!

I met sofia in Serangoon Junior College. We have been best friends ever since. Going through lots together. There are lots of wonderful memories that i will cherish as i walk through the journey of life.

I remember her skiping malay lessons during our JC days because she just hated going for the lessons. She would avoid crossing her cikgu's path the entire day to allow herself to be absent from the class. She actually duked under the table once because the cikgu was actually walking towards us.

I miss those times of revision together till late evenings, encouraging each other to perservere on. The A-level period was a challenge but we did it together. I miss taking the bus to Hougang Mall just to buy a cup of bubble tea during our free periods.

I still can remember her trying to explain physics concepts to me. Physics and i don't quite get along and she often was the 'mediator'.

I cherish the wednesday evenings where we attended maths and physics tuition classes together. We had our little secrets about the tutor as well (Nothing bad ). How i wish i could just rewind back time and walk through those times again...ummmmmm...WAIT!!!! I don't think i want to sit for A-levels again though..haha

I clearly remember siting outside the bus-stop with her surmoning the courage to enter the school grounds to collect our A-level results. We knew that it was either make it or break it point. I remember the hesistance in our feet as we made our way down the path towards the gate.

Our graduation ball was a memorable experience as well. Sofia, you have been there for me all this while..I cannot thank you enough. Words cannot describe how grateful i am to have someone like you in my life. Thank you so very much for everything!

I really wish i could be there to see you blow out your candles but nevertheless. I am gonna give you a virtual birthday cake.
