Temple After Two Months

As you could have guessed from my title, i visited the temple yesterday after two months. Haha..well i am not a very temple person..thats something i have to admit. The temple is located in Blacktown. Thats where majority of the sikhs live. We arrived at the temple slightly after eight and got a shock just looking at the crowd. It was so packed. We could not get a a parking spot and ended up parking the car by the street next to the houses. This is despite the fact that the temple has a very huge parking ground. So you can imagine the crowd. I only see this kind of crowd during Diwali at Silat Road Temple. To make matters worst, i was not appropriately dressed. I was in jeans. I had thought that there would not be any function on a saturday night so there would only be a handful of people so i happily decided to forgo the punjabi suit. *BIG MISTAKE*

The temple itself is very huge. As you can see i am just very overwhelmed by the hugeness of the place. There was something different about the temple which was different from the singapore style. People ate their meals (langgar) on the floor. I heard about it happening in Canada and certain part of the UK but not in Australia. So i sat on the floor for the first time. Had trouble trying to balance the scarf on my head and the spoon. But i did it! The food was awesome! Thats nothing new.. Gurdawara food tastes good anywhere, anytime! I did not go there for the food peeps!!!!

So that was just my first experience in a sikh temple in Aussie Land. Oh ya!! There were people who were very particular about having the head covered at all times. So you actually had to try and keep the scarf at all times. It was a challenge for me. I think i need more practise.

Last but NOT least...

I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin deep. That's enough!
What do you want? An adorable pancreas?
